HUTCHINSON & WACONIA, MN — Happy Sunday, everyone!

This weekend marked an exciting milestone for our campaign: attending my first and second DFL County Conventions as a candidate for Minnesota State House District 17B.

We started off at the McLeod County Convention in Hutchinson for the campaign's convention debut, followed by a trip over to the Carver County Convention in Waconia for another warm and encouraging reception.

Hearing Directly from Neighbors

The energy in the room was palpable, and I had the chance to share meaningful conversations with neighbors, delegates, and local leaders.

Several crucial issues came up repeatedly:

  • Challenges Facing Family Farms: We shared deep concerns about how increasingly difficult it has become for smaller, independent family farms to stay afloat. Dairy farmers in particular are facing some of the lowest margins in history while corporate monopolies expand.
  • Rural Education & Public Schools: Funding shortfalls across rural school districts are leading to school consolidations, ballooning class sizes, fewer extracurricular opportunities, and reduced support for teachers and students.

I am ready to be an authentic, dedicated voice for the people of Minnesota House District 17B. Please don't hesitate to reach out, share your priorities, and join our movement!
