Ben Wieman Earns DFL Endorsement for Minnesota House District 17B
Arlington, MN — Today, Ben Wieman proudly announced he has received the Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party endorsement for Minnesota House District 17B, following the district convention held on April 11.
“I am deeply honored to earn the endorsement of the DFL,” said Wieman. “This endorsement reflects the strength of our grassroots campaign and our shared commitment to putting people, farmers, and rural communities first.”
A fifth-generation farmer with deep roots in rural Minnesota, Wieman has built his campaign on strengthening local communities, supporting family farms, and addressing the real needs of Greater Minnesota. Raised on a family dairy farm near Arlington, he brings firsthand experience and a lifelong connection to agriculture and rural issues.
Wieman has emphasized key priorities throughout his campaign, including:
- Increasing access to affordable healthcare
- Strengthening rural education systems
- Supporting retirement security for working families
- Promoting fair agricultural markets and stronger anti-trust protections
- Prioritizing communities and land over corporate interests
